BTA Blue Blaze Festival

Friday evening there is the early packet pickup. Also, the backpacker will meet for an orientation and group gathering Friday evening at the Tecumseh Theater and leave for the trail on Friday afternoon. October 7, 2023, runners and hikers will hit the Buckeye Trail through the Wayne National Forest. After returning from the trial, participants can enjoy music, local art & crafts, food and exploring the Village of Shawnee, Ohio in Perry County.
Trail hike will start at 8:00am Saturday, the trail runs begin at 9:00am. The runs include a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K through the Wayne National Forest. On Main Street, Shawnee will be a Street Fair with live music. The Friday Farmer’s Market and Saturday street fair from 9:00-5:00pm is open to the public and the entertainment is free. Trail runs and the hike require advance registration.
